No, HP PCs shipped beginning March 2011 are not affected by this issue. For this specific issue, Microsoft® Windows® Device Manager and third party applications/tools may report the “B3�? chipset Revision ID as “B2�?.
For HP Desktop and Notebook PCs, a combination of the serial number and Windows Device Manager must be used to properly determine whether or not the HP PC is affected.
6.Why might Device Manager and certain third party applications incorrectly report the chipset revision number?
Many newer Intel chipsets feature an Intel Compatibility Revision ID (CRID). The BIOS for HP notebook and some HP desktop PC systems sets this Revision ID at its original value (e.g. B2) and keeps it constant even if Intel makes a chipset revision change (e.g. from B2 to B3). Keeping the revision ID constant prevents Microsoft Windows from re-installing software (a device driver) each time it detects a chipset Revision ID change. 这个和联想的答复一样 这种信息都是intel经过确认后才发出来的，内容大致都差不多
