Since a few months, the name "ThinkPad P1" has been a mystery. Today, a first picture emerged, which shows a ThinkPad with a 15.6-inch screen without a numpad. Potentially, this could be Lenovo's competitor to the Dell XPS 15 and the Dell Precision 5530
When we reported on a leaked Lenovo ThinkPad roadmap in January, a mysterious product name was included in this leaked document: The ThinkPad P1. It was completely unclear what this product would be, as there were no pictures nor specifications.
Today, a first picture that shows the ThinkPad P1 in the wild has surfaced. The source of this picture is reddit – or more specifically, the ThinkPad subreddit. The picture shows a ThinkPad laptop with a matte 16:9 15.6-inch screen. The bezels around the screen are very thin, similar to the Dell XPS 15, although Lenovo still places the webcam above the display. Another similarity to the XPS: The keyboard is centered, as the P1 does not have a dedicated numpad – the new model with this design that Lenovo teased a few months ago is apparently the ThinkPad P1.
The picture not only shows parallels to the Dell XPS 15, but also similarities to the ThinkPad X1 Carbon 2018. The power-button looks exactly like the power-button of the X1, the ThinkPad P1 also bears the same blacked-out ThinkPad logo. Meanwhile, the hinge-design is different from the X1 and closer to the Dell XPS 15.
Those are all the details visible in the picture, although the user who took this picture at a trade-show posted some additional details about the new laptop – at this point, we can not verify if those informations are true. Apparently, the P1 has two USB C ports (unclear if Thunderbolt 3 enabled or not) as well as Ethernet and HDMI. It is charged via Lenovo's proprietary Slim-Tip power connector. The battery is internal, as the ThinkPad P1 is much thinner than the ThinkPad P52.
According to the user, the shown pre-production model used the Intel Core i5-8305G as its CPU – if Lenovo truly uses this Kaby-Lake-G quad-core CPU, this would also mean that the P1 would use the AMD Radeon RX Vega M as its GPU. This would certainly be a surprise, as all ThinkPads of the P series utilized Nvidia Quadro graphics until now.
Hopefully, we will soon learn if those specifications are accurate. Judging from the fact that Lenovo already shows the ThinkPad P1 at public trade-shows, an official release can not be too far away. 之前有人发过了...只能说联想还是那个联想...
大号X1C 加个小键盘就协调多了，不然C面没法看 真的挺难看 C面真是太丑了 感觉有点 E 系列的模具的柑橘 真不好看。 头重脚轻下沉轴，真的好看吗？ C面那么大空间，键盘就不能做大一些么？加上小键盘那么难？ w530的c面，看风扇设置

加了小键盘，也有说去掉小键盘就好像的人，比如现在P系列都标配小键盘，被很多人喷

这是强装自己是macbook pro15？
说起来要不要考虑把X1C 2014的touch栏加回来，这样模仿的更像，还不要被告（因为X1C 2014出现过）

P1是对应DELL XPS15的；
与MACBOOK有啥关系
不过THINKPAD确实越来越没自己的性格了
最大的特点是用了intel/AMD的合体芯片，目前已知的是有8705g，不知道有没有8809g的顶配（可能性极小）
最大的优点是质感好，和X1一样的用料和键盘设计，可能会很轻
比较尴尬的一点是因为雷电接口功率由限制，还是用的的方口电源（目测，没有实锤）
至于没有小键盘C面居中以及屏轴的样式，这个属于各人审美喜好，说不上明显的好坏 intc.w 发表于 2018-7-2 21:18

讲道理戴尔的XPS 15其实也是对标MACBOOK PRO 15的，所以这么比没问题，XPS 15 比MACBOOK PRO 15厉害的地方就屏占比和显卡了。不过既然是INTEL/AMD合作的那款肯定是要和同样用INTEL和AMD组合的MACBOOK PRO 15对比了 本帖最后由 intc.w 于 2018-7-2 23:14 编辑

那我觉得也可以是对标华硕或者雷蛇15寸轻薄游戏本的，行不行
其实DELL XPS15进化到窄边框与更加轻薄的时候，MACBOOK还是跑马边框以及厚本子呢；所以讲MACBOOK PRO15对标XPS15更加合理点是不是更加合理些呢

其实是看定位的
XPS 15 是 DELL的商用产品 - 笔记本系列 下面的 ，产品宣传语是打造精美产品
Thinkpad P1没错的话就是联想商用产品 - 笔记本系列 下面的，这种单数的话估计也是打造精美的产品
苹果的MacBook Pro 15的话也是苹果商用系列（其实他家用的是MacBook 没有Pro系列的），苹果本身也是秉承打造精美商品的。所以严格来说这三台机器可以放在一起比。毕竟商务人士其实不怎么看屏占比的。
华硕整个商用系列没有一款做到和DELL XPS和苹果MacBook Pro那样的笔记本，雷蛇的话是定位游戏本，所以不应该被拿来比较（不过讲真苹果没有出过游戏本）
你要是硬是使用屏占比比法来判断的话我也没辙，本来对标这种事情就按厂商自己给自己产品标的定位进行对比的。然后再是我们底下玩家自己的比较方式。 P系列？这是搞了个啥玩意？ 没有小键盘的15寸可以考虑。。。呃，我确定不是小键盘党，家里的mbp15寸用得很习惯。
如果带全速TB3，可以考虑换机了。 我觉得可以啊
就看功耗怎么样了
其他的都蛮不错的了
小键盘的选p52 不要小键盘的p1 C面巨丑，下沉轴巨丑！ 有本事全抄macbook的外观，黑色的mac也挺好的 15吋版X1 ^t^
