富士康明年将成惠普笔记本第二大代工商

Foxconn becomes the second-largest notebook supplier of HP in 2011

With first-tier notebook brand Hewlett-Packard (HP) getting close to finalizing its notebook outsourcing plans for 2011, sources from notebook players pointed out that the volume HP will give to Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) will surpass that to Inventec, making Foxconn the second-largest notebook supplier of HP in 2011.
Quanta will remain HP's largest notebook supplier in 2011 with order volume reaching 15-17 million units. Foxconn will have 9-11 million units and will be trailed closely by Inventec with 8-9 million units and Flextronics 4-5 million units. Meanwhile, Compal Electronics and Wistron will only receive a small portion of outsourcing from HP, the sources noted.
HP already started shifting some of its notebook orders from notebook makers such as Compal to Foxconn early in 2010 since Foxconn has been working aggressively to gain the trust of HP.
The sources pointed out that profits coming from HP's notebook orders are mostly weak since the company is suppressing its quotes to maintain its price competitiveness and since the strategy is already creating pressure on Compal and Wistron's gross margin, these makers are turning down orders, giving EMS providers the chance to enter HP's supply chain.
Quanta, Foxconn and Inventec all declined to comment on specific clients.

由于富士康的努力争取，因此其实今年早些时候，惠普公司便已经把部分原来外包给仁宝等代工厂的订单改交给了富士康进行生产
消息来源还指出，惠普公司为了加强自己笔记本产品的价格竞争力，因此在签订笔记本组装外包协议时的开价已经比过去有所下降，因此代工厂商从订单中所获得的利润也将随之下降。这种情况已经对仁宝，纬创等惠普的代工商的盈利状况造成了一定的影响，因此两家厂商减小了惠普电脑的订单接受量，结果便给富士康等代工厂商带来了可乘之机。
广达，富士康和英业达均拒绝就此事作任何评论。
